Zovo Subtitle Fix
Fix subtitle timing in SRT and VTT files.
Zovo Subtitle Fix repairs out-of-sync subtitles. Shift all cues earlier or later, convert the timing between frame rates such as 25 and 23.976 fps, or sync the whole file on two cues you know. Then trim overlapping cues, give short cues a minimum duration, strip formatting tags, renumber, and convert between SRT and WebVTT. You get the fixed file and a CSV change log with the old and new times of each cue. Before you get the link, the new file is read again and each time is compared with the formula.
What it does
- Shift all cues by milliseconds, earlier or later
- Frame-rate conversion with true ratios (23.976 = 24000/1001)
- Two-point sync on a first and a last cue
- Overlap trimming and a minimum cue duration
- SRT to WebVTT and WebVTT to SRT, tag stripping, renumbering
- A CSV change log with old and new times per cue
Try asking
“My subtitles are 2.5 seconds late, shift them earlier”
“Convert these subtitles from 25 fps to 23.976 fps”
“Check this SRT for overlaps and cues that are too fast to read”
Limitations
- SRT and WebVTT only; SSA/ASS, SUB and SBV files are not read
- UTF-8 or UTF-16 with a byte order mark; other encodings are refused with a message
- Up to 10,000 cues and 2 MB, times below 100 hours
- It does not listen to the audio: you give the offset, frame rates or two reference times
- Cue text is not changed except for the tag stripping you ask for and the escaping that WebVTT needs
